The guidelines for nurses in primary care address the diagnosis and management of many of the most common health problems seen in adults in remote northern Aboriginal communities.

The information provides assessment (history and physical examination), diagnostic, and management guidelines for common health problems and emergency situations seen within specific body systems. The information presented is relevant to the practice setting of primary care nurses in Aboriginal communities and is derived from available best practice evidence.

Web links and/or links to specific documents have been included in each chapter to provide further information on a topic.

The information currently available is evidence informed and has undergone a multidisciplinary review.
