Who have we consulted
Since January 2016, federal, provincial and territorial ministers of agriculture have consulted with Canadians, including stakeholders, producers, Indigenous communities, women in agriculture, youth, and small and emerging sectors to develop the next framework. We have also been collecting feedback through social media, including the #AgNPF hashtag.
Phase 1 - Feedback on Growing Forward 2 (May 9 – July 31, 2016)
The first questionnaire was designed to gather feedback to better understand where Growing Forward 2 (GF2) is working well, and where challenges could be addressed. We received feedback from over 300 participants.
Comments received during in-person and online consultation during Phase 1 are summarized in a What We Heard Report .
Phase 2 – Feedback on the Calgary Statement (July 22 – November 30, 2016)
Through the second questionnaire, we asked for feedback on the Calgary Statement, which outlines the key priority areas that will guide the development of the next agricultural policy framework. This document was released by Federal, Provincial and Territorial Ministers of Agriculture on July 22, 2016.
We will summarize feedback received and post a report on this website in 2017.
