Proactive Disclosure of WD financial- and human resources-related information

Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) is committed to fiscal integrity, transparency, and accountability in financial administration.

To this end, WD supports the Government of Canada requirement for full disclosure of expenditures. This includes travel and hospitality expenses for selected government officials; contracts entered into by the Government of Canada for amounts over $10,000; reclassification of positions, and grants and contributions over $25,000.

The proactive disclosure of financial- and human resources-related information is part of a series of measures the Government of Canada has implemented to strengthen public sector management by ensuring transparency and oversight of public resources. By making this information readily available on departmental websites, Canadians and Parliament are better able to hold the Government and public sector officials to account.
