Service Standards for Transfer Payment Programs
A service standard is a public commitment to a measurable level of performance that clients can expect under normal circumstances. Public Safety Canada (PS) has established services standards for all of its transfer payment programs*.
PS is committed to adhering to the following transfer payment service standards:
- Acknowledging the receipt of a funding request: 15 Business days
- Communicating a funding decision after receiving a completed application is submitted: 52 Weeks
- Issuing a payment following receipt of all required documentation: 30 Business days

Transfer Payments' Service Standard Results
Public Safety Canada (PS) is committed to reporting on service standards for its transfer payment programs on a semi-annual basis. Results from this reporting period are as follows:
For the period of April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015
Acknowledging the receipt of a funding request: 15 Business days
Results: 97% of all proposals were acknowledged within 15 business days
Communicating a funding decision after receiving a completed application is submitted: 52 Weeks
Results: 99% of all funding decisions were communicated within 52 weeks
Issuing a payment following receipt of all required documentation: 30 Business days
Results: 89% of all payment requests were sent within 30 business days
