The Canadian Marine Advisory Council (CMAC) is Transport Canada's national consultative body for marine matters. Meetings are normally held twice a year in the spring and fall, nationally in Ottawa.
AVIATION SECURITY CONSULTATION
Transport Canada wants to propose a regulation that would give the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) the authority to break a lock or seal (e.g. plastic shrink-wrap) to open locked checked baggage when x-ray technology identifies a concern.
