Fascinated by science and technology? Curious about Canada’s North?

Join us on February 27th, 2014 at 1PM EST for our #AskCHARS Google Hangout about the brand new Canadian High Arctic Research Station (CHARS).

Join project architect Alain Fournier and CHARS scientist Donald McLennan, as they take you behind the scenes to chat about the groundbreaking science and technology research that will take place at the Station, the unique aspects of the building and how it was built with the traditional knowledge of the community residents in mind, as well as living and working in Canada’s North.

When the Canadian High Arctic Research Station is built, it will provide a world-class center that will provide services for science and technology in Canada's North. The Station, in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, will attract international scientists to work in Canada and engage Northerners in cutting-edge science and technology to address their needs in a changing North. Learn more about CHARS at:
http://www.science.gc.ca/default.asp?lang=En&n=74E65368-1

Be sure to tune in on February 27th to watch our Hangout as it happens on AANDC’s YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/AANDCanada. We will share the direct Hangout URL on the day of the event.
