The Bank of Canada has become aware of email scams and social media profiles that send unsolicited emails falsely claiming to originate from the Bank of Canada.
Further to the 26 October 2015 announcement that Deputy Governor Agathe Côté will retire at the end of January 2016, the process to appoint her successor has been initiated. The Board of Directors has formed a selection committee to conduct the search and selection process, with the assistance of global executive recruiting firm Boyden.
As announced by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Bank of Canada will contribute to the Government of Canada’s plans to commemorate the historic reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by issuing a commemorative bank note in 2015.
