Government of Canada Spend Data by Department

The Government of Canada Spend Data by Department dataset is a summary of procurement expenditure data at the Government of Canada level. It is derived from expenditure data submitted annually from over 55 departments and agencies, and is grouped by commodity broken down by family, group, category and subcategory. The data covers about 95 per cent of government’s total expenditure on goods and services.

    Do we produce these data? Records of actual (past) national government spending at a detailed transactional level; which meet these criteria? Individual record of transactions. Date of the transactions Government office which had the transaction Name of vendor amount of the transaction Update on a monthly basis If so where would I find them?

This dataset is only published at the Government of Canada department level and further broken down into commodity categories and subcategories. It is not available at the transaction level and does not include vendor names. The dataset is published yearly and is not published on a monthly basis. Thank you.
