Connecting with communities

Canadians often see RCMP police officers wearing their dress uniform, the red serge, at functions and events. Officers traditionally wear this uniform during Royal tours, official visits of foreign dignitaries, Canada Day and to honour those who have served.

Police officers proudly represent the RCMP and Canada at many ceremonial events, functions and speaking engagements – often above and beyond their regular daily duty.
