  • Confirm/update your address and phone number
  • update your email to receive timely communications from the Canadian Firearms Program

New Look

You will notice a number of changes in the Enhanced IWS. First of all, IWS has a new look that matches other Government of Canada web services; this means you can now enjoy a familiar and easy to navigate web experience wherever you go for government services online. WHEREVER POSSIBLE we have attempted to keep the layout of the enhanced IWS similar to the old IWS.

Streamlined Functionality

Many of the steps to navigate IWS were reviewed and made more user-friendly. This means easier to use and requiring fewer 'clicks' to get where you are going. If you are a frequent user of the old IWS you may want to take your time using the enhanced IWS for the first time.

Why the Changes?

Security

Canadians are not immune to the threat of cyber-attacks. GCKey is the Government of Canada standard for federal departments and agencies to provide a cost effective, efficient and flexible 'electronic signature' solution for online services. You can use one login and password for all Government of Canada services without compromising the security of services and the protection of personal information.

Accessibility

The Government of Canada has presented all federal Departments and Agencies with the requirement to improve both the look and accessibility of web services offered to Canadians. These changes will match other Government of Canada web services allowing you to experience a familiar and easy to navigate web experience.
