Reservations

Groups must make reservations a minimum 48 hours in advance by calling 418-648-4322 or 1-866-936-4422 (toll-free). You can also reach us by fax at 418-648-5157, by email at citadelle@gg.ca or by completing the online form.

Group Arrivals

  • Groups are welcomed at the bus lay-by, on the Côte de la Citadelle. Please notify us at the time of your reservation if you will be visiting the Citadelle of Québec before touring the governor general’s residence.
  • The governor general's residence is located within the Citadelle of Québec, atop Cape Diamant. Because the Citadelle is an active military base, visitors are not allowed to wander freely in the Citadelle or the residence. All visitors, including group leaders and chaperones, must follow their guide at all times. Those who do not wish to follow the tour may wait at the Visitor Centre.

Amenities

  • At the Visitor Centre of the Musée Royal 22e Régiment , you will find public restrooms, vending machines and a gift shop.
  • There are resting areas and picnic tables on-site.
  • Groups wanting to eat nearby may go to the Battlefield Park (Plains of Abraham), a few minutes away from the Citadelle: http://www.ccbn-nbc.gc.ca/en/.
  • The bus lay-by is located at the entrance of the Citadelle.
  • A few wheelchairs are available on-site. Please make arrangements before your visit by phone at 418-648-4322 / 1-866-936-4422 (toll-free) or by email at citadelle@gg.ca.
