Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston met with the Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and Mrs. Sharon Ball.
The meeting took place in the Premier's office at Confederation Building in St. John's.
Their Excellencies concluded their visit to St. John's with a book signing for their recently published books: The Idea of Canada: Letters to a Nation, written by His Excellency and published by Signal/McClelland & Stewart; and Matrons and Madams, written by Her Excellency and published by Dundurn Press. They were greeted by Chapters Store Manager Debbie Barfitt.
Members of the public had the opportunity to interact with Their Excellencies.
