Rideau Hall, in Ottawa, and the Residence of the Governor General at the Citadelle of Québec, are two of the official residences of Canada. These nationally significant heritage properties are owned and managed by the federal government on behalf of all Canadians. The residences are used by the governor general to fulfill official functions.
