From Health Canada

Current status: Open

Eating Well with Canada's Food Guide is being revised to reflect new evidence and meet the needs of various audiences.

Why

Canada's food guide provides practical healthy eating recommendations based on the best evidence to help you make informed food choices.

Your input is needed because we've found that:

  • the current format of the guide isn't meeting the needs of all audiences
  • some users of the guide have difficulty understanding and applying some of the recommendations

  • health professionals
  • all levels of government
  • academia and researchers
  • educators and communicators
  • industry and trade associations
  • health professional organizations
  • non-government health organizations
  • consumer non-government organizations

What

Your input will be used to:

  • develop healthy eating recommendations and policies
  • identify ways to effectively communicate nutrition information to Canadians
  • better understand how different audiences use healthy eating recommendations

When and where

The consultation is available online between October 24, 2016 and December 8, 2016.

How to participate

Complete the online questionnaire as a:

  • member of the general public
