This section is the new destination for information about the portfolio, the programs and services it provides, as well as the organizations within including Service Canada, the Labour Program, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) and Status of Women Canada. Over the coming months, we will deliver continuous improvements to ensure it becomes easier than ever for you to search for and find the information and services you need.

My Service Canada Account
My Service Canada Account provides convenient and secure access to view and update your Employment Insurance, Canada Pension Plan, and Old Age Security information online.
Employment Insurance
Employment Insurance (EI) provides temporary financial assistance to unemployed Canadians who have lost their job through no fault of their own, while they look for work or upgrade their skills.
Old Age Security payment amounts
The Old Age Security program is the Government of Canada's largest pension program. It is funded out of the general revenues of the Government of Canada, which means that you do not pay into it directly.
Canada Pension Plan retirement pension
The Canada Pension Plan (CPP) retirement pension provides a monthly benefit to eligible applicants.
Social Insurance Number
The Social Insurance Number (SIN) is a nine-digit number that you need to work in Canada or to have access to government programs and benefits.
Temporary Foreign Worker Program
The Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) assists employers in filling their genuine skill and labour requirements, on a temporary basis, when qualified Canadians and permanent residents are not available.
Federal Labour Standards
Federal labour standards are established under Part III of the Canada Labour Code, which sets out minimum standards that federally regulated employers and employees must follow.
Funding opportunities
