Canada’s Capital Region

Ottawa–Gatineau will be livelier than ever on December 31 for the Canada 150 Kick Off. Take part in the free festivities on Parliament Hill and at the Canadian Museum of History! Enjoy the spectacular pyromusical fireworks show and performances by renowned Canadian artists. When the clock hits midnight, mark the start of a year of celebrations for the 150th anniversary of Confederation with an exceptional fireworks display. It’s an event you won’t want to miss!

Your Country! Your Flag!

February 15 is National Flag of Canada Day. The 150th anniversary of Confederation is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate this powerful symbol of our Canadian identity. Canada’s celebrations

In 2017, you will be invited to spectacular festivities to mark the 150th anniversary of Confederation. Take part in National Aboriginal Day on June 21, Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day: Fête nationale du Québec et de la Francophonie canadienne on June 24 and Canadian Multiculturalism Day on June 27, and celebrate July 1 like never before! A full weekend of events in Canada’s Capital Region will highlight Canada Day in an outstanding way.
