Disclosure of Travel and Hospitality Expenses

On December 12, 2003, the Prime Minister announced a new policy on the mandatory publication of travel and hospitality expenses for selected government officials.

Reporting shall be on a quarterly basis, corresponding to pre-determined periods. Information must be posted online within thirty days of the end of each reporting period.

Report on Annual Expenditures for Travel, Hospitality and Conferences

As required by the Treasury Board Directive for the Management of Expenditures on Travel, Hospitality and Conferences, this report provides information on the total annual expenditures for each of travel, hospitality and conferences for the Office of the Taxpayers’ Ombudsman for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2013.

Disclosure of Contracts

On March 23, 2004, as part of the 2004 Budget, the government committed to "publicly disclose all contracts entered into by the Government of Canada for amounts over $10,000, with only very limited exceptions, such as national security."

Quarterly reports will be posted online within thirty days of the end of each fiscal quarter, which end on June 30, September 30, December 31, and March 31.
