Executive Team
CATSA is led by a senior management committee, headed by a president and CEO. The senior management committee includes four vice-presidents, each representing a specific portfolio.
CATSA is a results-focused organization, and the executive team ensures organizational success through the strategic monitoring of key performance indicators, as published in the annual report and corporate plan summary.
In Budget 2012, the CATSA Act was amended so that all future CEOs would be appointed by the Governor in Council.

Michael Saunders

Michael Saunders was appointed President and CEO by CATSA’s Board of Directors on an interim basis, effective January 3, 2017. Mr. Saunders joined CATSA as Vice-president and Chief Technology Officer in July 2006 following a 28-year career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police where he attained the rank of Assistant Commissioner and held such senior positions as Chief Information Officer and Director General of the Canadian Police College. He holds a BA in Professional Studies, Business Administration and Human Resources Management from Barry University, Miami, Florida.
Neil Parry
Vice-President, Service Delivery

Neil Parry is responsible for the delivery of effective, efficient and consistent screening operations at Canada’s 89 designated airports. Joining CATSA in 2002, he has held a number of senior positions accountable for both the training and certification of screening personnel and the delivery of screening services across the country. In this most recent role as Senior Director, Program Delivery, he championed the implementation of CATSA’s new Airport Screening Services Agreements, strengthening collaboration between CATSA, screening contractors and stakeholders. Mr. Parry holds a BA in History from the University of Windsor and an MBA in International Aviation from Concordia University.

John Stroud
Vice-President, Corporate Services and Corporate Secretary

After working in several positions in the federal government, John Stroud joined the new organization in April 2002. Since December 2007, Mr. Stroud has overseen CATSA’s corporate strategy, performance measurement program, business planning and reporting, risk management and communications, and most recently in 2015, its legal and corporate secretariat branches. He holds a BA (Toronto), an MPA (Victoria), an LLB (Victoria) and an MPhil (Oxford). He also clerked for the Ontario Court of Appeals.

Martin Corrigan
Acting Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer

Martin Corrigan was appointed Acting Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer, effective January 3, 2017. He is responsible for the deployment, maintenance and long-term capital replacement of a complex network of equipment that supports security screening at Canada’s 89 designated airports. Martin is also responsible for CATSA’s information technology and screening technology requirements. Having joined CATSA in 2002 as a Director, Martin's first order of business was to implement a $1-billion checked-baggage program in 89 airports across Canada. This program came in a year ahead of schedule and on-budget. Martin holds a BA from Carleton University and brings with him over 30 years of experience in the aviation security industry.

Andie Andreou, CPA, CA
Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer
Andie Andreou is CATSA’s Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining CATSA in May 2015, Ms. Andreou was the Executive Director and Corporate Controller of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). She has also worked with a wide range of both public sector entities and public companies during her tenure at Deloitte, where she reached the rank of Partner in the Ottawa practice. She is a member of the CPA’s Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) Revenue Task Force and the Canadian Accounting Standards Board’s Joint Transition Resource Support Group for Revenue Recognition.
