On October 11, 2016, the Government of Canada awarded a contract valued at $10 828 950 (taxes included) to R.J. MacIsaac Construction Ltd. from Antigonish, Nova Scotia for the disposal of the Royal Canadian Navy’s (RCN) former HMCS Iroquois.
We were in Liverpool in Nova Scotia on November 24 and 25 for the dismantling of the HMCS Iroquois after 43 years of service in the Royal Canadian Navy.
This contract will create economic benefits and support approximately 40 jobs in the region.
