Mandate Letter

In accordance to the Prime Minister’s guide on Open and Accountable Government, the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food sent mandate letters to each of the organizations within the Agriculture and Agri-Food portfolio, in August 2016.

The mandate letters outline the Minister’s expectations for each Agriculture and Agri-Food portfolio organizations’ conduct and key priorities that should be fulfilled over the course of the Government’s four-year mandate.

The publication of these mandate letters supports the Government’s strong focus on results and its commitment to openness and transparency.
