Artifact Processing Workshop 3

Artifact Processing
Artifact Processing

The National Capital Commission (NCC) invites you to take part in the third of several workshops to process the artifacts collected during the public archaeological digs conducted last summer at the Moore Farm.

Participants will wash and clean artifacts from the dig carried out at the farm’s Broadview Cottage site. Fifty square metres were excavated, revealing a significant portion of the building foundation, and yielding a considerable collection of artifacts. In addition to washing artifacts, this workshop will include selecting items and gluing together broken glass and porcelain specimens of historical interest that could eventually be used in an archaeological exhibit at the farm.

Organized in collaboration with the Centre d’écologie et de l’agriculture urbaine de Gatineau, this workshop is a family event.
