Section of the Rideau Canal Eastern Pathway Closed

Closed: A 1,4-kilometre section of the Rideau Canal Eastern Pathway, between Clegg Street and the Bank Street Bridge, is closed to pedestrians and cyclists at all times to allow Parks Canada concrete rehabilitation work on Rideau Canal walls. The stairways at Echo Drive and Riverdale Avenue will also be closed during this work.

When: Monday, November 7, 2016 until end of May 2017.

DETOUR: Directional signage is installed on-site to advise pathway users of the closure and the detour to take during the work. The National Capital Commission recommends that users use the detour in place or use the Rideau Canal Western Pathway along the Queen Elizabeth Driveway.
