Parliament Hill

Parliament Hill is home to Canada’s federal government, where representatives from across Canada gather to make laws that affect the lives of all Canadians.

Parliament Hill is made up of three buildings. The Centre Block features the Peace Tower, the Library of Parliament, and the House of Commons and Senate chambers. The East Block has historic and restored rooms that look much like they did at Confederation in 1867. The West Block houses offices for members of Parliament, and is closed to the public.

The picturesque grounds of Parliament Hill have many commemorative monuments to discover. Learn more about the buildings and grounds on the Parliament Hill website.
