Canadian Virtual War Memorial

The Canadian Virtual War Memorial (CVWM) is a registry to honour and remember the sacrifices of the more than 118,000 Canadians and Newfoundlanders who, since Confederation, have given their lives serving in uniform. The names found in the CVWM are also inscribed in the seven Books of Remembrance.

Each record in the CVWM includes information on the individual’s military service, personal data (e.g. birthdate) as well as the location of where they are buried or commemorated, and in many cases, digital images. If you have any photographs or other scanned material that will help tell the story of any of the fallen, you are welcome to contribute digital files at any time.
