Yukon Youth Conservation Corps (Y2C2)
Summer employment for students
The Yukon Youth Conservation Corps or Y2C2 is a summer employment and training program for Yukon students (aged 16 and up), with an emphasis on environmental education and enhancement.
Note: These are not STEP jobs. Hiring for Y2C2 and CAT jobs is done by the Department of Environment.
Summer projects
Crews of one to five students work on conservation projects throughout the territory. These projects are proposed and overseen by community groups, First Nations, municipalities and individuals.
Employment eligibility and application process
Eligibility
- You are between 16 and 29 years of age
- You are a full-time high school or post-secondary student and either graduating or planning to return to full-time studies in the fall.
- You have lived in the Yukon for at least one full year before beginning your present studies.

- Fill out the Student Employment Application and send it along with a resume.
The closing date for applications is February 13, 2017,
except Field Workers, which close May 29, 2017.
