Student Financial Assistance

Transcript of video

Starting this fall, Budget 2016 will make post-secondary education more affordable…and easier for students to repay debt.

We're increasing Canada Student Grants by 50%.

Full-time students from low-or middle-income families or part-time students from low income families who qualify for Canada Student Loans, will automatically get more help with school costs.

Graduates need to find the right job after school to build a career.

But sometimes they have to take anything they can find to pay off student debt.

So we're changing the Repayment Assistance Plan, so that students won't have to repay their loan until they earn $25,000 or more, depending on family size.

Less debt.

More access to education and training.

More flexibility to find a good job.

Budget 2016 continues to help the middle class and those working hard to join it.

Build your career today.
