National Battlefields Commission (NBC)
The National Battlefields Commission, as manager of Battlefields Park, enables Canadians to enjoy the first national historic urban park in Canada and one of the most prestigious parks in the world. The Commission has the mandate to acquire and conserve the great historical battlefields in Quebec City and turn them into a national park. The NBC is responsible for the acquisition, administration, governance and development of the Battlefields which includes the Plains of Abraham and Des Braves Park, and for managing the funds allocated to them.
The Commission offers a wide range of public and educational services, allowing Canadians to broaden their knowledge about a significant period in Canadian History and to raise awareness about the richness of this unique gathering site.
