Training on how to assist persons with disabilities for transportation service providers

Federal transportation providers and terminal operators are required to train their staff and contracted personnel on how to assist persons with disabilities.

The standards for these services are set out in the Personnel Training for the Assistance of Persons with Disabilities Regulations and the Canadian Transportation Agency's codes of practice.

Accessibility for All is designed to help service providers train their staff on these requirements. It's a comprehensive, 45-minute training program which consists of several modules.

Once you have completed viewing the training videos, test your knowledge with the Accessibility for All Quiz. Once you have completed the quiz, you can print a certificate of completion.

For additional information on assisting passengers with disabilities, please refer to the Agency's resource tool Best Practices for Providing Assistance to Customers with Disabilities. The resource tool contains quick reference pages to assist transportation service provider staff.
