April 21, 2017 – Gatineau – Canada’s Department of National Defence is collaborating with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Communications and Information (NCI) Agency (responsible for NATO’s information technology procurement) to present their annual industry conference in Ottawa from April 24 to 26, 2017.
The conference will focus on innovation, government-industry collaboration and significant NATO business opportunities. Taking place in North America for the first time, the NCI Agency and Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) TechNet International (NITEC17) will explore the topic "Sharpening NATO’s Technological Edge: Adaptive Partnerships and the Innovative Power of Alliance Industry."
Conference program
The conference program will explore how industry can help keep NATO at the forefront of innovation and identify innovative private-sector practices and technological solutions that can be applied to the most challenging problems of the Alliance.
Highlights include a forum to discuss 3 billion Euro worth of business opportunities in information technology, cyber security, as well as air and missile defence, and the opportunity to interact with senior NATO program and project managers.
The three-day event will also offer participants a unique opportunity for one-on-one meetings with NCI Agency acquisition experts. Workshops on common mistakes in bid proposals, and the fundamentals of doing business with the NCI Agency will also be delivered throughout the conference to encourage greater industry participation and competition.
