Help with searching the CRTC Web site

The CRTC Web site search will search the entire Web site with the exception of the following areas.

The search allows you to look for words or phrases that appear within the documents.

Searching by phrase: Put quotes “ ” on either end of your search to find documents that contain all of the words you typed, in the exact order in which you typed them.
HINT: Use a unique or uncommon phrase.

AND: Put AND between search terms to find all documents that contain ALL terms

OR: Put OR between search terms to find all documents that contain ANY one of the terms.

NOT: Put NOT between two search terms to find all documents that contain search term 1 BUT NOT search term 2.

Tips

NEW! Did you mean?  If you enter a term not found on the Web site, the search engine will return an alternative suggestion from the document collection that may improve your search result.

NEW! Left hand navigation bars “(+)” can be used to progressively narrow down your result set by document type and/or subject.

NEW! Save your search: If you go to the same search results often – you are now able to save a search to your browser’s favourites list.

If you need help locating documents on the site, submit a request to the CRTC Library or call us at 1-877-249-CRTC (2782).
