- View the Index of Broadcasting Exemption Orders where the Commission has exempted persons who carry on broadcasting undertakings of any class specified in the order from any or all licensing requirements and associated regulations, where the Commission is satisfied that compliance with those requirements will not contribute in a material matter to the implementation of the broadcasting policy set out in subsection 3(1) of the Broadcasting Act.
Please be sure that all required and relevant information is provided to the CRTC when you are,
- applying for a new broadcasting licence,
- renewing a broadcasting licence,
- amending an existing broadcasting licence,
- registering as an exempt undertaking,
- making ownership changes (forms 138 and 139), or
- adding a non-Canadian service to the list of programming services authorized for distribution (form 304).
Your application form and any appendices must be accurate and complete (i.e., include all relevant documentation). Incomplete or inaccurate applications may result in your application being returned and restarted. This can have a significant impact on the timeliness of your business plans.
