Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) has completed the construction and testing of the new Qikiqtarjuaq power plant. The new power plant is the second major project recently completed by QEC. In November 2016, QEC announced the operation of a new power plant for the community of Taloyoak.
Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) officials joined local dignitaries and community members today to celebrate the successful commissioning of the new Pangnirtung power plant. The original power plant, which was built in 1971, was destroyed by fire in April 2015.
