Application (199914065) by ROGERS BROADCASTING LIMITED, on behalf of 578223 British Columbia Ltd., 36 Victoria Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5C 1H3, for a broadcasting licence to carry on an English-language FM radio programming undertaking at Chilliwack. The new station would operate on frequency 98.3 MHz (channel 252B) with an effective radiated power of 2,340 watts, upon surrender of the current licence for CHWK Chilliwack.
The applicant is proposing a "Good Time Oldies" music service.
The applicant is also requesting permission to broadcast simultaneously on the AM and FM bands for a period of 3 months before surrendering the current licence issued to CHWK.
The Commission will only proceed with this application at the public hearing if advised by the Department of Industry, at least ten days prior to the hearing, that it is technically acceptable.

The new station would operate on frequency 900 kHz with a transmitter power of 10,000 watts, upon surrender of the current licence for CKMO-FM Victoria.
This application is conditional on Commission approval of the Rogers Broadcasting Limited application (200001892) for a broadcasting licence to carry on an English-language FM radio programming undertaking at Victoria which is also scheduled at this hearing.
The Commission will only proceed with this application at the public hearing if advised by the Department of Industry, at least ten days prior to the hearing, that it is technically acceptable.

The new station would operate on frequency 103.1 MHz (channel 276B) with an effective radiated power of 9,400 watts, upon surrender of the current licence for CJVI Victoria.
The applicant proposes to provide a music format consisting of gold-based adult standards from a number of different musical genres.
This application is conditional on Commission approval of the CKMO Radio Society application (200001884) for a broadcasting licence to carry on an English-language AM radio programming undertaking at Victoria which is also scheduled at this hearing.
The Commission will only proceed with this application at the public hearing if advised by the Department of Industry, at least ten days prior to the hearing, that it is technically acceptable.

The new station would operate on frequency 94.1 MHz (channel 231C1) with an effective radidated power of 100,000 watts.
The applicant is proposing a country music service.
The Commission will only proceed with this application at the public hearing if advised by the Department of Industry, at least ten days prior to the hearing, that it is technically acceptable.
