Jacques Villeneuve captured the Formula One Championship with a third-place finish in Jerez, Spain. He became the first Canadian to win the Formula One Championship. He raced in Formula One for a decade before moving on to NASCAR and Le Mans racing. Early in his career, Villeneuve won the 1995 CART championship, including a win at the Indianapolis 500. He also released an album of songs called Private Paradise so you can Google that if high-speed auto racing scares you.
