January 21, 2010 — Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is organizing a number of information sessions with Haitian community groups in Montreal to provide information on the special immigration measures and how people can sponsor close family members who have been significantly and directly affected by the earthquake in Haiti.

The information sessions are open to the public and are targeted to people in Canada who want to apply to sponsor their spouses, common-law and conjugal partners, dependent children (including a child adopted abroad), parents and grandparents and orphaned family members (brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews or grandchildren under 18) from Haiti.

Other sessions will be organized in the days ahead. Please check this website for updates.
