January 24, 2010 — Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is organizing a number of information sessions for groups in the Montréal Haitian community in order to provide them with information on the special immigration measures and on how they can sponsor members of their immediate family who were directly and serious affected by the earthquake in Haiti.

The information sessions are open to the public and are targeted to people in Canada who want to apply to sponsor their spouses, common-law and conjugal partners, dependent children (including a child adopted abroad), parents and grandparents and orphaned family members (brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews or grandchildren under 18) from Haiti.

Schedule for individual information sessions for the week of January 25 to 29, 2010:

10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (no session on Monday, January 25)

Montréal North

p.m. to 3 p.m.

Rivière‑des‑Prairies
9140 Perras Blvd.
