OSFI is an independent agency of the Government of Canada established in 1987 under the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Act (OSFI Act) to contribute to the safety and soundness of the Canadian financial system.

We are in the process of moving our services and information to Canada.ca.

Our current OSFI website will remain available until the move to Canada.ca is complete.
