How GCSurplus works

  1. A government department or agency declares an item as surplus
  2. A GCSurplus sales representative works with the department or agency to create a listing
  3. GCSurplus lists the item for sale
  4. The general public can browse listed items
  5. Only registered users can bid on items (GCSurplus operates as a closed-bid e-commerce auction system)
  6. Once an auction sale closes, the successful bidder will receive an acceptance of offer by email, along with an invoice, payment and pick up instructions.
  7. The highest bid is revealed after the auction has ended
