The 7 Series is available in 750i xDrive, 750Li xDrive, 740Li xDrive and M760Li xDrive versions, all featuring BMW’s newest technologies such as Gesture Control, wireless charging and the standalone option of the Display Key. The 750i models will be offered in both short- and long-wheelbase xDrive versions (the 740 will only be offered with the longer wheelbase). At 5,250 millimetres in length, the 750Li is the roomiest sedan BMW builds and, says the automaker, features class-leading rear-seat legroom. The 740Li has a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six that delivers 320 horsepower, while the two 750 variants come with a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 that pumps out 445 hp. The mighty M760 has a 600-hp V12; all but the six cylinder are hooked up to an eight-speed transmission linked to the navigation system. Using information from the nav, the transmission shifts according to the drive mode selected as well as the terrain, so it is always in the right gear.
