The Government of Canada strives to make evidence-based decisions, and regularly evaluates its programs to ensure they are relevant, effective and offer the best value for Canadians.

The 2017 Former Cadet Survey is now underway.  The survey is being conducted on behalf of the National Cadet and Junior Canadian Rangers Support Group by Director General Military Personal Research and Analysis (DGMPRA). DGMPRA provides DND/CAF with an integrated personnel research program on behalf of Chief of Military Personnel (CMP) and Assistant Deputy Minister (Science and Technology).  The survey seeks to engage former sea, army, and air cadets to learn and understand what they are doing today and how their experiences in the Cadet Program may have affected their lives and careers. The feedback and data collected will help ensure the Cadet Program continues to meet its mandate of inviting all Canadian youth, and developing traits of good citizenship, leadership and physical fitness in its participants.

We invite all former sea, army and air cadets, 16 years of age or older, to participate in the 2017 Former Cadet Survey, which will be open until December 31, 2017.  By completing the survey, former cadets will substantially contribute to ongoing efforts to ensure a strong future for the Cadet Program.
