Providing training programs, educational initiatives and awareness campaigns to our people
At CBC/Radio-Canada, not only do we value our employees’ development and learning experiences, we also strive to consider the environment in all our decisions and make sure our people have the tools and knowledge they need to do just that.
We offer our employees across the country access to specialized and general training, as well as awareness activities that focus on a variety of environment-related issues. In 2011–2012, 120 employees took part in training sessions on:

We also seek to green our practices and culture at CBC/Radio-Canada by developing employee-based programs, organizing events and activities, and communicating with all employees about:
- Reduction of paper consumption
- Battery recycling
- Electronic waste recycling
- Clean air commuting
- Earth Day and Earth Hour
- Canadian Environment Week
- National Waste Reduction Week
- Défi Climat (Quebec only)
- Bike to Work Day
