Rob Jeffery

Rob Jeffery was appointed to the Board of Directors of CBC/Radio-Canada on April 30, 2015, for a five-year term.
Rob Jeffery is the Executive Vice President at the Armco Group of Companies, a diversified and dynamic group of companies with an emphasis on real estate development and other investments.
Prior to joining Armco, Rob was the Senior Director of Taxation for Sobeys Inc, a leading Canadian food retailer and food distributor where he provided leadership for the taxation function of Sobeys Inc and its parent company, Empire company Limited (TXS:EMP.A). Rob began his career with Deloitte where he held progressively senior roles in audit and tax.
Rob currently serves on the Board of Directors of CBC/Radio-Canada, Chartered Professional Accountants of Nova Scotia and the Fred C. Manning School of Business Advisory Board at Acadia University. He is a trustee of the CBC Pension Board of Trustees and a member of the Audit & Finance Committee of the Canadian Medical Association. He has previously served on various tax committees with CPA Canada and is a past board member of Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Greater Halifax.
Rob has lectured on taxation and contributed to the development of professional accounting education within Canada. He has lectured for CPA Nova Scotia and tutored in the In Depth Tax course for CPA Canada. In addition, he has taught taxation courses as part-time faculty at Dalhousie University and worked with the Atlantic School of Chartered Accountancy.
Rob is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and Certified Public Accountant (Colorado). He is a graduate of Acadia University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) degree and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Ivey Business School. He currently resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia with his wife and two daughters.
