Volunteering in Promotion

These positions are based at one or both of the following locations:

• the museum in Ottawa, Ontario
• our research and collections facility in Gatineau, Quebec.

On-the-job training is provided.

Advancement

What you would do:

• Assist with specific departmental projects.

Good for people with:

• A background knowledge in development and fundraising
• An attention to detail
• An ability to work in a team with deadlines
• An ability to follow directions
• An ability to work independently.

Languages:

• Fluency in English and French is a strong asset
• An ability to speak another language may come in handy.

Time commitment:

• All year
• On an as-needed basis.

Marketing and Media Relations

What you would do:

• Assist with specific departmental projects.

Good for people with:

• A background knowledge in communications
• Attention to detail
• An ability to work in a team
• An ability to meet deadlines
• An ability to follow directions
• An ability to work independently.

Languages:

• Fluency in English and French is a strong asset
• An ability to speak another language may come in handy.
