Several editions of this travelling exhibition are available to choose from. Each is a product of an annual photography contest run by Canadian Geographic.

Each edition of Canadian Wildlife Photography of the Year consists of 30 photographs. The photos comprise the winners, runners-up and honourable mentions from the year's contest. Each edition includes a category for young photographers. A short comment or anecdote by the photographer accompanies each photograph. The species depicted are identified.
