The Canadian Museum of Nature occasionally has employment opportunities open to the public. Positions can range from scientific research and collection management, to administrative, communications or educational postings.

Fellowships

The museum has occasional support for young researchers through the NSERC Postgraduate Supplement Program.

Beaty Post-Doctoral Fellowship for Species Discovery

This position for a post-doctoral candidate focuses on species at risk, including communication with the public about species loss, species at risk and the importance of conservation to species preservation. The Fellow will work with The Beaty Centre for Species Discovery.

Internships

We accept a small number of unpaid interns who are looking for a work placement as a requirement for a university or college programme. If you are looking for a placement, submit a letter that outlines the details of what you are looking for, including the following:

  • desired start date
  • desired end date
  • desired length of work week
  • type of placement, including learning objectives
  • name of your school
  • name of your program.
