Arctic Natural History Museums Alliance

Natural-history museums have much to contribute to Arctic science.

With this belief in mind, the Canadian Museum of Nature co-founded the Arctic Natural History Museums Alliance.

It comprises the national natural-history museums of the eight Arctic Council states:

Given the challenges to the environment in the Arctic, national natural-history museums need to step up and actively share our knowledge of the region with scientific colleagues, public-policy decision-makers and the general public.

The alliance's goal is to contribute to the scientific knowledge–base and discussion about the Arctic. Its focus is collections digitization, research contribution and collaboration, and impactful public programming and outreach.
