Football

Football Canada offers the following NCCP workshops:

Community Novice Coach: This module will introduce you to the fundamentals of football with a recreational focus. Taking this workshop will give you skills and confidence in the key areas of practice planning, making ethical decisions, and fundamental technical football skills. The skills you will learn are ideal for voluntary coaches who have children who participate in footabll, or who wish to assist participants of all ages who are new to the sport.

This module is available for FLAG, six-a-side, tackle, and TOUCH football. 

Safe Contact Workshop: The Safe Contact module is designed for all NCCP coaches who currently coach tackle football. Techniques and drills to teach safe contact will be highlighted, in addition to learning how to analyze and correct athletic performance.The goal of this module is to provide coaches with the tools required to create a safeer environement for their athletes, while improving overall skill level. Competition - Introduction, Position Coach: Coaches will be taught basic and intermediate skills required to coach offensive, defensive or special teams position skills by an expert coach. The expert coach will also provide drill progressions, and will demonstrate how to incorporate these tools into practice plans. More...

Competition - Introduction, Coordinator: This workshop teaches coaches what it takes to be a successful coordinator and how to develop offensive, defensive, or special team systems all taught by an expert coach. Coaches will then learn how to apply what they have learned to their systems and how to develop successful game plans. More...
