Renew your ChPC Designation or Registered Coach Status

Your ChPC designation or Registered Coach status needs to be renewed annually.

The annual deadline to renew your ChPC designation or Registered Coach status is one year from the date you first completed the License or Registration agreement. This date can be found under the Professional tab of your Locker account. A recent and valid criminal record check is also required every three years to maintain your status in good standing.

To renew now, please click here.

Transition from the Registered Coach Status to the ChPC Designation

A coach must achieve specific levels in education, NCCP certification, and coaching experience in order to be considered for the ChPC designation. If you are currently a Registered Coach in good standing and you wish to become a ChPC, you can do so during the renewal process at no extra cost.

  • Login into the Locker;
  • Click the Professional tab on the left side of your screen;
  • Click on the Renew and transition button and follow the onscreen prompts.

Fees

An application fee of $100 will be charged to your credit card, whether you are applying to become a ChPC or a Registered Coach. The fee also applies to all renewals.

On the expiry date of your ChPC license or registration, you will be provided with a 90-day grace period to renew, where the current $100 renewal fee will apply. Although you will be considered expired during this 90-day grace period, you will not be charged a late fee if you renew within it. After the grace period will have passed (on day 91), the $100 renewal fee option will no longer be available and you will be required to pay a reinstatement fee of $130 to return your ChPC license or registration in good standing. You will not need to reapply, you will simply need to reinstate your license or registration for $130 and renew your criminal record check (if applicable).

Your status, upon approval of the Licensing and Registration Committee, will be valid for one year from the date you first completed the License or Registration agreement.
