The Ombudsman, French Services, deals with complaints about Radio-Canada journalism on its local and network radio and television, as well as on its Internet sites.
The Ombudsman is a member of an international ombudsman association, occasionally attending symposia to hone his skills. He delivers training on journalistic responsibility to Radio-Canada staff across the country. He is invited to attend and speak at conferences in different locations to explain her role to the general public. He may occasionally hire experts to assist him. The Ombudsman, French Services presents his annual report to CBC/Radio-Canada’s Board of Directors, requiring travel to a Board meeting each year.
