Governor General to Attend a Diamond Jubilee Gala Dinner

OTTAWA—Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston will attend a gala dinner to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen. Co-hosted by the Royal Commonwealth Society and the Monarchist League of Canada (Ottawa Branch), the event will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 7:30 p.m., in the Panorama Room of the National Arts Centre.

On this occasion, the Governor General will deliver remarks and present the Queen Elizabeth IIDiamond Jubilee Medal to members of the Royal Commonwealth Society and the Monarchist League of Canada.
